I'm Loving it :)

A day taken off from work!! and spent lazily doing things i like...

Unlike other holidays i dint get up late this morning.. as in got up at 9 am.. and i am hooked to pc for most of the time... browsed thru mba related websites, chatted with some friends, studied for about an hour, and now finally gave my blog a makeover!! and i am loving it...

Though i love black and so liked the earlier template, but having a black backdrop also meant deciding font colours and stuff, which i hope i can get over with on a blue backdrop... and i simply love the picture ... girl on the swing on an upside down tree in the sky :) reminds me of the song... aaj mein upar, aasmaan niche; aaj mein aage, zamana hai piche

And my friend alltalkandnoaction has tagged me for having my poll of 10 best romantic bollywood movies... and i by mistake th8 it was for the 99 questions i posted in the last post.. now recalling 10 best hindi romantic movies for an amnesiac person like me is an arduous task!! though i can never forget the bestest bollywood movie... its none other than jab we met.. which is her fav too.. waow... i can just watch it over and over again... such a simple and sweet story...

Recalling some moments in the movie:

Though i dint understand what did Kareena like in that Anshuman (Champak he seems)

Changed version of ME

I have changed... yep i have...

- I have to push myself to visit the temple once in a week... (earlier a daily ritual) and then when i go i feel i am just doing formality... cos i just say the prayers like a parrot would and i have very little attention...

- I am getting angry/ frustrated too easily and have lost adequate control on my moods... (though i d o try)

- To some extent i have started giving back dishum dishum to people who don't understand my point... so i am not the same "finger on your lips" type girl... (though not completely yet... but i guess to quite some extent)

- i have started to believe people wont respect you unless you command the same from them.. so when U work make sure that no one eats away the credit..

- i have learnt that being quiet can never ever help you... you and only you can speak for yourself... (though i dunno if i have changed much on this front)

- i have learnt that except for a very few, friends come and move on.. Learn to accept....

I got a nice msg: People say i have changed, i have just stopped living my life their way!!

Random thoughts

Some months back i had my sis's friend come down to our place... shes a doc by profession... and just while we were chit-chatting i told my sis... these guys wud never have a ctrl+z in their profession.... CTRL+Z... i am sure i use these keys so often in a day.. just to undo something that has been done wrong.. so in a way i have the liberty to make some mistakes vis-a- vis doctors who have to pay possibly a very high price for a very small mistake... So i think these guys should have their backs patted... for the immense care they have to execute while on duty...

And then on some other day, when i was listening to music, i heard the song Jeena yaha, Marna yaha... iske siva jana kaha... and in the initial lines one guy says rokiye sahab, uske rokiye, doc kehte hai wo tamasha karega to marr jayega... Kya aap apne tamasahe ke liye kisi insaan ki jaan lenge; to which the sahab replies sher singh raju insaan nahi joker hai joker... wo jiyega bhi yahi marega bhi yahi... and suddendly i thought about the joker/clown in circus... His profession is to make people laugh... but what if his mood on a day is utterly bad... Can he afford to let his mood take over...

Now i know there may be many such professions.. but sudden th8s increased my respect for these professions... Waise to at so many times when i dont feel like working, i have to but still :)

Excellence...

A Frenchman once visited a temple under construction where he saw a sculptor making an idol of God. Suddenly he noticed a similar idol lying nearby. Surprised, he asked the sculptor, "Do you need two statues of the same idol?" "No," said the sculptor without looking up, "We need only one, but the first one got damaged at the last stage." The gentleman examined the idol and found no apparent damage. "Where is the damage?" he asked. "There is a scratch on the nose of the idol." said the sculptor, still busy with his work. "Where are you going to install the idol?"
The sculptor replied that it would be installed on a pillar twenty feet high. "If the idol is that far, who is going to know that there is a scratch on the nose?" the gentleman asked. The sculptor stopped his work, looked up at the gentleman, smiled and said, "I will know it."


The desire to excel is exclusive of the fact whether someone else appreciates it or not. "Excellence" is a drive from inside, not outside. Excellence is not for someone else to notice but for your own satisfaction and efficiency...


So true,

Its always great to excel just for yourself.. not bcos someone else wants you 2... And not to measure ur excellence by the way others see it but the way it has changed/ added to you as a person


So its so perfectly ok not to know something very basic and to ask rather than think what xyz will think and not knowing it at all.. :)

I wanted to write more.. but am in a cafe and completely uncomfi with the system... Hope to write back soon..
